Trip to Utah

Hello everyone! Just wanted to share my fun trip to Utah with you all. I was only there for the weekend (well, a little longer, Thurs night to Monday evening). It was still too short! I got there Thurs night and we [Scott, Mary (scott's girlfriend) and I] went to a cool little mexican restaurant, Mary's favorite I believe. The food was excellente! Ha, as you will discover... I spent a lot of time eating in Provo... which I now can understand the whole "freshman 15". They have too many good restaurants in the college town. Fri morning Scott and I met up with Mary at lunchtime and went to a bakery which has "all you can eat" french toast. Very good, tho "all you can eat" isn't vey much HAHA... we both only had a second plate. It was wicked good tho! We then just hung out the rest of the day.

Friday night was the best part of the trip as far as things we could have done. We met up with some people and went spelunking. I had never been before, nor had I ever been in or near a cave. Not what I was expecting. You (atleast I do) picture a cave from T.V. and it's a huge rock with an opening that you can walk into... haha, nope not this one! We got to the area... after an awesome drive, full of off-road/rough terrain... and parked. I got out and looked around and was like hmmmm... this can't be right, this area seems totally flat! This cave, as I found out most caves are, was just an opening it the ground which then expands as you go farther down. We went as a "group date" if you want to call it that. It was a lot warmer in the cave than on the surface. It was night time around 9pm so it was a little chilly out. As soon as you poked your head in the cave opening you could feel a warm breeze. It was awesome. There were some ropes to help you get down to the floor level as I am sure this cave has been explored many times. The ropes do come in handy... as I can't imagine being the first persons in without the ropes... I would have slipped and fell on my butt many times... breaking many bones in the process. The main part of the cave we all went into and it was fun and at the time seemed difficult. Though... as I found out about 20 minutes later there is a seperate part of the cave that is VERY narrow appropriately name "The Birth Canal"... yep, it's that NARROW! HAHA. The four guys all decided to go... something to do with our male pride and all if we didn't go through it. The women decided to stay back in a nice large open area and talk and bond and whatever. All I can say it was an experience. You can't describe it very well with words. It was awesome. I would so do it again. My folks tell me I'm crazy and laugh when I say "getting stuck and Fun" in the same sentence!! LOL Here's a pic of the group of us afterwards... I'm of course in the back but, you can see the guys in the front to see how dirty we got going through "the birth canal". The shower was very nice when we got back home! We got home pretty late around 1am.

I spent the rest of the weekend just chillin' and checking out Provo. It was an awesome trip and it was great being able to visit Scott and meet Mary. I look forward to another trip out there sometime this winter, hopefully to get some skiing in!!

This About Sums it Up!

If this wasn't so true I would actually laugh about it... I sat in line today to fill up a 1/4 of my tank for 30 minutes! Many, if not almost all gas stations were closing or already closed by 4 pm today. So here's something to try and lighten the mood...

Didn't take too long....

Well, just a quick update to my new car status. A moron rear-ended me right infront of the house a couple of days ago. Fortunately (for him) the damage is very minor to my rear-end... can't say the same for his car (that's what I like to hear!) Idiot. It will be getting fixed beginning of next week. Then it will be all nice and shiny, new, again. Check back in a couple days for pictures of my most recent upgrade. That will be all I will be doing to it for a while as I was reminded very politely I really have other obligations to fullfill before I can/should be buying more stuff to satisy my "fast and furious" addiction. HAHA. Good call HH :-P
That's it for now... talks to ya'll later...
